Prep School
Bearwood College is planning the opening of its Prep School for September 2008. Detailed planning for this has now started and further information is available from the Headmaster or Bursar.
Essentially the College will build up the Prep School one year group at a time taking the senior cohort of pupils from the Pre-Prep when they are 7. External pupils are welcome to register for entry and a year group Planner is included for your information.
By 2011 the College will have created the four year groups necessary so that pupils can enter the senior school at 11 years of age. The College currently has around 71 pupils aged 11 and 12 in Year 7 and 8 at Bearwood College.
It is envisaged that the school be located in the area of Jellicoe House. Our current pupils in Years 7 and 8, while remaining based in the Jellicoe area, will continue to be largely taught in the main school facilities of Bearwood College. All pupils will enjoy full access to the more advanced resources such as the Theatre and Science Laboratories.
At this stage of our planning, parents are invited to consider their appropriate year of entry into Bearwood Prep-School. A year group planner showing the progressive development of the College across the full age range at Bearwood, can be found at
