Combined Cadet Force

All pupils in the Third and Fourth Forms join the Combined Cadet Force (CCF).

Cadets learn self-reliance and teamwork, and develop their own leadership skills. The CCF also provides an unrivalled opportunity to experience outdoor pursuits. Two camps are held during holiday periods each year. The annual adventure training expedition provides boys and girls with the opportunity to experience environments that test and challenge their character whilst under the supervision of highly qualified staff. There are both Army and Navy Sections.

Many cadets choose to continue their service in the cadet force during their fifth and sixth form years. At this time they take on the extra responsibilities of being senior cadets. The experience they gain from taking an active role in teaching and helping the younger cadets provides a valuable insight into the qualities required from leaders.
