Education and Care
Bearwood College offers high quality education and care to children aged from 3 months to 18 years through our Nursery, Pre-Prep, Prep and Senior Departments. With day pupils throughout the College and boarders from age 11 to 18, we are proud to engage each child in a wide range of experiences both in and beyond the classroom. Our expectations for effort, industry and achievement are high. Our focus is on personal success. Bearwood is a place where individuals thrive.
As the only co-educational day and boarding ‘through school’ within a 15 miles radius, Bearwood College uniquely provides a stable yet evolving learning environment to meet the ever-changing needs of your developing child. Throughout their school career your child will gain great confidence from the College’s ethos, staff and facilities. Age-appropriate pastoral care at every level ensures that personal development is supported, protecting childhood for younger pupils whilst fostering maturity in the upper years.
The Independent School's Inspectorate Standard Inspection Report (June 2011) noted that "Those under three flourish as a result of the 'have-a-go' ethos in the nursery which is continued in Reception" and that "Pupils' personal development is excellent. From the youngest in the prep school to Year 13, pupils are engaging and unfailingly courteous. They clearly enjoy their lives at Bearwood." To read the ISI report in full, click here.
