Bearwood’s spectacular Victorian Mansion House and our extensive grounds offer a magnificent setting for your big day. Toast your marriage by the stunning architecture of the South Terrace, have your photographs taken by the lakeside with its gorgeous reflections; dine in splendor; celebrate with champagne; enjoy dancing the night away in the spacious Picture Gallery. We are now licensed for civil marriages.
Our wedding package includes the exclusive use of five individually striking rooms, the impressive entrance hallway and the beautiful grounds of Bearwood College. These areas of the grounds and Mansion House are entirely at your disposal to use and to adorn as you wish for the whole day.
The facilities are very flexible and couples have chosen to use the spaces available in many different ways. Our suggestion below for the use of the rooms may help you plan your day, but please note that it is not at all prescriptive. We are pleased to accommodate your preferences and welcome new and inspiring ideas. For example, some couples have erected a marquee on the lawn overlooking the lake or run a casino in the Billiard Room.

As your guests enter the Mansion House greet them in a traditional wedding party line-up within the attractive setting of the historic Victorian hall.
Spend time socialising and celebrating with your guests over champagne and a canapé reception in the stunning yet intimate Billiard Room with its original décor and handsome wood panelling.
The enchanting Picture Gallery provides a seamless transition from the Billiard Room celebrations to your scrumptious Wedding Breakfast through the adjoining entrance. This spacious room seats 120, usually at round tables, which can also be used as the main dance floor, with a DJ or live band, following the meal.
For wedding parties of up to 250, the Dining Hall offers ample accommodation for a lavish celebratory feast. Guests are usually seated at long tables banquet style, and the dramatic window at the eastern end of the room provides a superb backdrop for the Bride and Groom at the top table.
Linking the Picture Gallery to the South Terrace, the attractive Mosaic Room is often used as the licensed bar area. Your guests are free to wander between the outstanding grounds and the happy celebrations within the Mansion House; a particularly useful option should you have restless children amongst your guests!
Opening off the western end of the Picture Gallery, the valuable space offered by the Drawing Room is extremely flexible. It can be used for a number of different functions such as additional evening catering arrangements, a creche, for board games or a casino, or even as a cloakroom space: the choice is yours.
Catering
Our experienced chef, who has worked in a Michelin star restaurant and in-house team, can provide experience and outstanding Catering for your special day.
Accommodation
For wedding guests travelling some distance, our relationship with the nearby Moat House Hotel, ensures your friends and family will receive a specially discounted room rate on their standard accommodation.
