Dark clouds and drizzle threatened to spoil the big day of the year, but as it turned out even they could not dampen the high spirits of all who attended.
Beginning with the Service of Thanksgiving in Chapel, the College enjoyed all the favourite hymns including the Old Hundredth. Then everyone proceeded to the marquee when Mrs Langley, the Chairman of the Governors, opened with a positive "state of the nation" address to be followed by the Headmaster, the prizes and the Guest of Honour. The Senior Prefects, Zoe Vinden and Matt Bell then rounded the proceedings off with their votes of thanks.
The afternoon continued, with the weather improving and everyone enjoying lunch and the displays by the cheerleaders and the CCF.
