Piping, Haggis and Ceilidh Made A Scottish Celebration!

The Bearwood Parents’ Association’s Burns’ Night on Saturday 25th January was a great success.

The Bearwood Parents’ Association’s Burns’ Night took place on Saturday in the wonderful surroundings of the picture gallery. The guests enjoyed all of the normal traditions – being piped into dinner, the addressing and toasting of the haggis and an exhilarating Ceilidh, as well as the usual fun game of ‘Tops and Tails’ – the proceeds of which are donated to our chosen charity – the Thames Valley Air Ambulance.

Several Sixth Form Bearwood scholars did a wonderful job serving the guests their meal and looking after them as the evening progressed – thanks to them.

Thank you also to all of the BPA volunteers who worked so hard to make it an evening to remember (although, due to the amount of wine consumed, some party-goers may not be able to remember it so well..!) and helped raise a substantial amount for our chosen charities.
