On Thursday, 7th March the Prep Department of Bearwood School will be enjoying World Book Day. This yearly event is a celebration of authors, illustrators, books and most importantly of all, reading.

Asked what they liked about books, the Year 6 boys were quick to put their thoughts into words:

“You feel like you’re there at the scene and watching something inside your head,” said Spencer Wade.

“It gives you a lift in the day,” remarked Toby Herridge.

The pupils will be asked to decorate wellies and come dressed as explorers to enjoy planned activities dedicated entirely to the wonderful world of stories.
