Foundation Stage
The Foundation Stage Unit cares for children aged 3-5 years old, providing stimulating entertainment and education through play. In addition to full use of the beautiful 250 acre grounds, children in the Foundation Stage Unit enjoy four dedicated individual gardens next to the Nursery. The staff: pupil ratio throughout the Foundation Stage is 1:8.
The Foundation Stage provides constant learning opportunities through individual observation and in the pursuit of each child’s personal interests. Our learning environment is one in which questioning, enquiring and exploration is encouraged. A sense of social awareness is developed within an atmosphere of mutual respect, tolerance and consideration. All children are able to develop their independence and can free flow into the gardens should they choose.
