Registration and Acceptance Fees

On registering a £100 non-refundable registration fee is required. On accepting a place a deposit of £500 is paid, refundable at the end of the pupil’s final term.

Notes on Tuition Fees

1. Fees are due termly in advance.
2. Fees include curriculum resources.
3. A 10% remission on the fees of the eldest child or children applies to the tuition fees of pupils with siblings in Bearwood College Nursery, Pre-Prep, Prep or Senior schools.
4. Bursarial support is available at the point of entry. An application form is available from the Bursar.
5. The tuition fees cover the school day from 8.40am until 5pm and include lunch and a mid-morning snack. Please note that the fees do not include Wrap Around Care.

Wrap Around Care

Free optional activities are available from 3.30pm until 5pm for all Pre-Prep and Prep School pupils. These activities may include golf, waterpolo, cricket, tennis, football, dance, textiles, sculpture and cookery.

In addition, Bearwood College Wrap Around Care options are available before and after school.

Childcare Vouchers

Bearwood College accepts Childcare Vouchers for our Wrap Around Care options only.

Non Attendance

We are unable to offer refunds on any sessions that your child does not attend, although School Fees Protection Insurance is available to cover this loss. We are unable to offer discounts during holidays, bank holidays or sickness due the cost of staffing the facilities.

Insurances

The following insurance schemes, operated by HSBC Gibbs are offered on an optional basis:

Music

Younger students embarking on a new instrument commence with individually tutored 30 minute lessons at £18 per lesson and progress to 40 minute lessons at £24 per lesson. Tuition is subject to a term’s notice and fees are payable termly in arrears.

Speech and Drama

Lessons are charged at £40 per term and are 30 minutes in duration. Tuition is subject to a term’s notice and fees are payable termly in arrears.

Study Support / ESOL

A specialist Study Support Centre is available for a limited number of able pupils who have been identified as needing additional educational support. English for Speakers of Other Languages (ESOL) lessons are similarly available for overseas pupils. An additional charge is made for these services depending on the needs of the pupil. Scholars who are identified as having some particular learning difficulty may have individual or group lessons. Lessons are 50 minutes in duration.

Individual examinees requiring externally supplied services, such as a scribe, reader, amaneunsis or invigilator, for internal / external examinations will be charged accordingly. Details available on request.

Bearwood Parents' Association

An optional contribution of £5 per term to the Bearwood Parents' Association (BPA) is charged from Reception Year and above.
