Academic Structure
We offer small classes so that each child can follow a personalised learning programme tailored to their individual needs and strengths. Academic expectations are high. The children’s study is guided by, but by no means restricted to, the requirements of the National Curriculum with emphasis in the mornings on building skills and confidence in the key areas of numeracy and literacy, leaving the afternoons for exploration of a broader curriculum. Qualified and experienced teachers and support staff deliver much of the timetable at this level but we are fortunate to be able to utilise staff expertise and facilities from our Senior School department for areas such as Music, Sport and ICT.
