Archery develops the skills of coordination and accuracy whilst strengthening physical capability of the bow arm. Accuracy improves if an archer can judge wind and weather as well as angles so this is a focus of many sessions. Basic safety procedures must followed in a sport that has obvious dangers. The bows used at Bearwood range from very simple to quite complex recurve bows, depending upon the experience of the scholar.
This activity is for scholars of all ages and usually happens either on Friday or Saturday morning.
