Study Support Centre (SSC)
Our philosophy at Bearwood College is to develop the individual as a whole and enable each pupil to reach his or her full potential. This philosophy is evident in the Study Support Centre, where pupils enjoy an atmosphere of security and support within which confidence and self-esteem can be restored and built upon.
Our department has a central private study area, the latest resources and three specialist teaching rooms. Specialist, caring staff are trained to teach pupils with specific learning difficulties and this expertise is passed on to help your child build their confidence and unlock their potential.
This is enabled through identifying preferred learning styles, devising individual educational programmes and ensuring that skills of effective study are introduced, practiced, developed and transferred to the classroom.
